Community Involvement is the ability to share member information including ideas, knowledge, media and files with your friends and colleagues. Join in and make friends with your customers.
Activedition has functionality to allow you to interact with your customers through forums, blogs and page comments. In addition to this, Activedition integrates with Community Server, a social networking platform that allows you to communicate effectively with your customers.
Blogging
Blog comes from the term 'web log' and can take the form of a personal online diary or online commentary on a particular subject. Activedition allows blog pages to be created and maintained by blog owners. Blog entries can be rich in content including email links, web links, YouTube videos and simple text formatting (bold, italics, underline etc).
Harness the power of the community to make recommendations on your product through online blogs. This is more trusted and likely to convince individuals to buy, subscribe etc. Factor online word of mouth into your plans and make your website a destination.
Comments can be posted against blog entries in the same fashion as any other page. Blog comments can then be approved by the the owner without the need to log into Activedition.
Page Comments
The Activedition page comments feature allows any page to have comments added to it in the form of valuable feedback from the community. Comments are subject to moderation by administrators.
Activedition & Community Server
Activedition is fully integrated with Community Server to provide a platform for advanced community solutions. Community Server is a dedicated social networking platform with features such as advanced blogging and forums, photo and file galleries plus much more.
Community Server can also drive Folksonomies or Tag Clouds which is a collaborative tagging of content. Tag clouds allow content to be found by how it was tagged. Weighted tag clouds use different font sizes to indicate how popular a tag is.
Community Server is available as an integrated solution with the Activedition Content Management System.
