Site Management Tools

The Browse & Edit interface features a Word style toolbar making contribution of content a familiar task. Navigation is maintained through the Activedition Menu Manager just as you would browse around a website.

Browse and Edit

For content contributors who are familiar with a browser and a word style editor authoring rich content could not be any simpler. Activedition allows content contributors to author content through an in-context editing interface delivering WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) results. Sections where content contributors can author in are highlighted by blue zones which when accessed show as red. As Activedition is based on a separation of presentation (Templates and Stylesheets) from content, content contributors cannot change the underlying corporate identity and approved styling.

Users simply use the menus and other navigation tools e.g. site search to locate pages they wish to change. A Drag & Drop Pallet can also be exposed via a toolbar function and this allows individuals to tap in to centrally maintained assets, images, multimedia, forms, links, shared sections and tags (dynamic content assets). The toolbar exposes a wide range of functions that content contributors can use.

Drag and Drop

The Drag & Drop functionality allows users to drag objects such as multimedia, files and links from the centralised libraries and place them on the page within the editable areas.
